Build Your Puzzle Pack

How It Works

Every puzzle is generated fresh using our Sudoku engine — the same one that powers our Daily Sudoku and Deluxe Player. Each puzzle has exactly one valid solution and is rated for difficulty based on the number of given clues and the techniques required to solve it.

Choose your settings above and click Generate & Print. Your browser's print dialog will open automatically. You can send the puzzles to a physical printer or choose "Save as PDF" to keep a digital copy. The layout is designed for both US Letter and A4 paper with clean page breaks.

With "Include solutions" checked, solution grids print on separate pages at the end of the pack — handy for checking your work or for classroom use where an answer key is needed.

Difficulty Levels Explained

Easy puzzles have 36–45 given numbers. Most cells can be solved by simple row-column-box scanning. Great for beginners, kids, or when you want a relaxing solve. Typical solve time: 5–15 minutes.

Medium puzzles have 30–35 clues. You will occasionally need pencil marks (candidate tracking) to work through trickier spots. This is the same difficulty as our Daily Sudoku. Typical solve time: 10–25 minutes.

Hard puzzles drop to 25–29 clues. Intermediate techniques like naked pairs and pointing pairs become necessary. Pencil marks are essential. Typical solve time: 20–45 minutes.

Expert puzzles have just 20–24 clues and demand advanced strategies like X-Wing and hidden triples. These are for experienced solvers who enjoy a serious challenge. Typical solve time: 30–90 minutes.

Large Print Option

Check the "Large print" box to format puzzles with bigger numbers and one puzzle per page instead of two. This is popular with seniors, anyone with low vision, or people who prefer a spacious grid with room to write pencil marks by hand. More details on our large print printables page.

Printer Settings for Best Results

For the cleanest output, set your printer scale to 100% (not "fit to page"), turn off headers and footers in the print dialog, and set margins to "Default" or "Minimum." Background graphics can be turned off — the puzzles use only borders and text, so they print well in any mode.
